(Bvt. First Lieut., Feb. 23, 1847, for Gallant and Meritorious

Conduct in the Battle of Buena Vista, Mex.)

Buena Vista, Feb. 22-23, 1847; in garrison at Ft. Pickens, Fla., 1849, -- Baton Rouge, La., 1849-50, -- and Ft. Brown, Tex., 1850-52; on Recruiting service, 1853; and in garrison at Ft. Brown, Tex., 1853.

Died, Oct. 8, 1853, at Ft. Brown, Tex.:  Aged 32.
