Naval. — As we anticipated in our last, the U. S. sloops of war Falmouth; bearing the broad pennant of Com. Conner, and Saratoga, Capt. Shubrick, and the U. S. brig Somers, Commander Ingraham, sailed from Pensacola on the 11^th inst., on a cruise.

 

The Pensacola Gazette says that the revenue cutter Wolcott, Lieut. J. J. Morrison, arrived at Pensacola on the 8^th inst., in ten hours from Mobile, with Col. Eldridge, bearer of despatches from Washington to Gen. Taylor, at Corpus Christi.  Col. E. arrived at Mobile thirty-six hours in advance of the mail.  On the 9^th the commodore despatched the U. S. ship “St. Mary’s” to convey him to his destination.

 

The Florida Democrat says that the whole squadron will probably rendezvous at Aransas Bay.  The only U. S. vessels now left at Pensacola are the frigate Potomac and steam frigate Mississippi.  The latter may, perhaps, have sailed, as she was expected to do so two or three days since.
