The “Army of Occupation” still remained encamped at Corpus Christi as late as the 19^th inst.  There were rumors afloat that some of the reconnoitering parties sent out towards the Rio Grande had met and had a brush with the Mexicans, but these reports were not credited.  The publication of the Corpus Christi Gazette is to be continued after the removal of the army.
