The Texas Mails. —   Army Letters, &c. — From what we can learn, there is no longer any necessity for letters to the officers or soldiers stationed at Corpus Christi, or any other part of Texas, to be addressed to the care of the Quarter-master, Col. Hunt, now stationed at this place, Mr. Penn, the postmaster here, having taken the responsibility of making up mail bags regularly for Corpus Christi, which are transported hence without charge to the Post Office Department by the schooners in the Government employ.  It will increase the work at our post office, which has augmented heavily within the past year and without a corresponding increase in the number of clerks; yet Mr. Penn appears determined that nothing shall be left undone to insure the regular transmission of all mailable matter to Texas and elsewhere with promptness.
