In announcing the death of this promising young officer, to his many affectionate relatives and friends at a distance, it may be gratifying to them to know that during his illness he enjoyed the ____________ and attention of his physicians and friends, and hundreds of his fellow officers took advantage of every opportunity which was afforded them, to show in what  big estimation they held the many virtues and manly qualities of their deceased comrade, as well as regret his illness and death.
