Asst. Ordnance Officer at Watervliet Arsenal, N. Y., 1840-42, -- at Ft.
Monroe Arsenal, Va., While on his way to jhoin the Army of Occupation in
Texas, he was, by the falling of a spar on board the propeller Augusta,
Killed, Oct. 23, 1845, in
Aransas Bay, Tex.: Aged 24.
