          Served:  in garrison at Ft. Columbus, N. Y., 1840; in the Florida War, 1840-42; in garrison at New Orleans Barracks, La., 1842, -- St. Augustine, Fla., 1842, -- Ft. McHenry, Md., 1842-43, -- and Ft.

(First Lieut., 3d Artillery, June 27, 1843)

Moultrie, S. C., 1843-45; in Military Occupation of Texas, 1845-46; and in the War with Mexico

(Bvt. Capt. May 9, 1846, for Gallant and Distinguished Services in

the Battles of Palo Alto and Resaca-de-la-Palma, Tex.)

1846-47, being engaged in the Battle of Palo Alto, May 8, 1846,

(Captain, Staff – Asst. Quartermaster, Mar. 3, 1847)

and as Quartermaster, at Ft. Polk, Point Isabel, Tex., 1847.

Died, Oct. 19, 1847, at Point Isabel, Tex.:   Aged 28.
