1846, being engaged in the Battle of Palo Alto, May 8, 1846, -- Battle of Resaca-de-la-Palma, May 9, 1846, -- and Battle of Monterey, Sep. 21-23, 1846.

Resigned, Dec. 31, 1846.

          Civil History. --- Clerk in the office of the Solicitor of the U. S. Treasury Department, Washington, D. C., 1849-54.

Died, Sep. 1854, at Washington, D. C.:   Aged 33.
